Intervals
Before heading to the gym tonight, I made a green monster to have after my workout. I knew I'd be starving, and it was great to have something nutritious, filling, and not too calorie dense to consume on my way home. This was a standard banana, spinach, almond milk, & flax GM, but it seemed especially bright green!

I also grabbed a bag of (non-buttered) popcorn to snack on on the way to the gym.

My workout was good! I tried something from a Runner's World half marathon training program called aerobic intervals. AIs are where you speed up a little to where you can tell you're working harder than usual but you're not killing yourself. The plan for today was to run 2 miles at usual pace, then do 5-7 1 minute AIs with light jogging between to catch your breath, then run 2 more miles. I ended up running 5 miles in total and felt pretty good! The mile during the intervals definitely went the quickest. After running I did some good stretching, and my knees are feeling ok so far.
I had a strange dinner. I saw a Manwich commercial that got me craving sloppy joes. To quickly improvise, I had a veggie burger on an English muffin with cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. Not exactly the same, but it did the trick. I had some tortilla chips with a bean dip/salsa/corn combo on the side.

Well, 2 posts in 1 day is a new thing for me! I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep it up, but posting from my phone will help. I'm going to try to get into a routine so I can get better at estimating what my time commitment to blogging can/will be.
Update: apparently this post didn't get published last night, like I had thought, so I still haven't posted twice in one day!
