The Ol' Switcheroo
Howdy! Today was a pretty typical day at the office. It started off with breakfast at my desk. Alongside my coffee I had a serving of Kashi Autumn Harvest with almond milk and a banana.
I have been experiencing some pain in my right forearm and shoulder lately. I realized that it is particularly bad when I use the mouse at work. I decided to switch to a left-handed mouse to see if my pain goes away. It is surprisingly hard to switch! I got really frustrated - I'm just so used to being fast!
When I wasn't paying attention I'd catch myself reaching across my keyboard to use my right hand. I also found my right hand cupping an 'air mouse' several times throughout the day. Boy I hope I get used to this soon!
For lunch I had leftover Chinese food (vegetable lo mein), a yogurt, and a crossword puzzle.
I make sure to take a lunch break every day, where I usually do a crossword puzzle or read. It gives me a chance to decompress and take my mind off of work for a while. We are given 45 minutes for lunch, so bringing my lunch from home really gives me more of those minutes as time to relax instead of waiting in line in the cafeteria.
I finally got around to eating those carrots, celery, & hummus as my afternoon snack. I also had a Laughing Cow cheese wedge.
I had plans to run tonight, but I just wasn't feeling it. The temperature wasn't so bad, but the wind was brutal. Hopefully it's not as bad tomorrow because I'm running a St. Paddy's Day 5K! And Thursday's forecast actually includes sunshine, so I'll be sure to take advantage of that. But instead of doing nothing tonight, I took this little one for a 15 minute walk. She was quite happy with my decision!
It's now time for The Biggest Loser - come back later for a delicious dinner post!!
