Whirlwind Weather

Welcome to crazy March weather in the Midwest! Right now, the lion & the lamb are definitely butting heads. Thursday got up over 60 degrees, and on Friday it snowed! It didn't really stick to the streets, but all of the yards are white again. Too weird. Luckily I took advantage of the beautiful weather on Thursday and went for a run. I did a four mile, hilly run with 4 1-minute aerobic intervals in the middle. I was excited to be able to wear lighter clothing (capris) but I was still super sweaty at the end!

I picked up Stella for a cool down walk. She did not want to waste any time with photos. :)

When I got home, I packed up breakfast & lunch for Friday. I've been trying my hand at overnight oats - yum! I use 1/2 c rolled oats, 1/2 c yogurt and about 1/4 c milk (this is soy milk, I usually drink almond milk, but Katie prefers soy and that's what was open).

Mix it all together into a big purple mess, and pack it up in the fridge for breakfast in the morning!

My grocery store had 6-packs of these single serving yogurts on sale buy-one-get-one-free, so I couldn't pass them up. However, I'm excited that I only have one left. They are just too sweet and fake-tasting. I want to get back to my plain, organic yogurt!

Katie & I tried to get some pre-vacation shopping done last night (not very successful) so I was starving by the time I ate dinner at 8:30! I went to the Chinese place down the hill from our house and got tofu w/vegetables and steamed rice. Not gonna lie, I scarfed it.

Well, it's time for round 2 of pre-vacation shopping. We are going to LA next week (yay!!) but I'm having the hardest time figuring out what to bring. Hopefully I'll be inspired today. :)
