Wait, it's not Monday?

Weird. Today totally felt like a Monday. Does that ever happen to you?!

So I've been back from vacation for over a week now, and I still haven't gone grocery shopping!! This is especially bad because I made such an effort to clean out the fridge before we left. I'm embarrassed to say I had a brownie for breakfast yesterday! I had planned on getting something from my work's cafeteria, but a coworker brought them in and I got distracted/hungry. :( Oh well, no breakfast would have been worse. For lunch I had leftover Amy's shells & cheese, applesauce, and a side salad that I picked up from the cafeteria (veggies!).

On my way home from work last night I stopped at Subway to grab dinner. I got a veggie delight on wheat with all the green stuff (lettuce, spinach, green peppers, pickles, cucumbers, and banana peppers), pepper jack cheese, and lite mayonnaise. I was thinking ahead and got a foot long so I could save the other half for lunch. With my sandwich I had some banana chips with peanut butter and sun tea that Katie made.

And then I did something I rarely do nowadays - I took a nap. I don't know why, but I was feeling kind of grumpy so I decided to lie down for a while. Once Katie decided to nap, too, I knew I was a goner. We slept for nearly 2 hours! When we woke up, we were both craving frozen yogurt (darn you, Pinkberry!). How is it that frozen yogurt can get me to the grocery store but having 0 veggies in my house can't?! We made a quick fro-yo run, and I grabbed some fruit and yogurt for breakfast, too.

I packed up a quick breakfast/lunch/snack, and then we caught up on a missed Biggest Loser episode and listened to our first thunderstorm of the season!

Today I ended up staying late at work (boooooo!!) so Katie made a frozen pizza for us for dinner. This was a Margherita pizza that Kate added MorningStar Farms veggie sausage too. Not gonna lie, it tasted really good. Thanks, Kate!

After dinner I watched the new episode of Biggest Loser. I like the show, but it is just too long! For the second hour I did squats and planks during the commercial breaks. Then I packed up food for tomorrow. I have yogurt, granola, and dried apricots for breakfast, leftover pizza and an orange for lunch, and a banana with half a pack of almond butter for snack. I need veggies!! :(

This is my absolute favorite brand & flavor of granola. I have to measure it or I'd eat insane amounts of it!

And I just finished up a serving of frozen yogurt. I really like the raspberry swirl in this, but I'm not a fan of the dark chocolate pieces. They just seem too hard in the cold yogurt.

In other news, I posted my first Operation Beautiful note today! I have been following Caitlin's other blog, Healthy Tipping Point, for a long time now and somehow never really considered posting a note. Today I was in a really bad mood at work and didn't know why. I saw her tweet about posting a note in the office and decided to give it a try. It really did make me feel better!

Also, I promise to start taking pictures with my camera again. All of these were from my phone because I was being lazy. It really is good in a pinch, but camera pics are so much better. Goodnight!

  1. Remember that maple pecan granola you got from Trader Joe’s and left in my apartment – I love it! Thanks.

And, oh yeah, I’m reading your blog, and I’m liking it. :)
