Photo Bomb

Happy weekend, everyone! Gonna make this quick, because it's Friday night and I'd rather be sleeping than anything else right now. :)

My workday went quite quickly, for being a Friday! The morning was consumed by a 15 minute meeting that turned into one of those really intense 2 hour brainstorming sessions. I actually love those kind of meetings! So often I feel like I'm not really using my brain at work, so it feels good to work on something a little different, problem solve, and 'stretch' my mind.

Good thing I finished my breakfast before the meeting! I had an English muffin with peanut butter, an apple, coffee, and a gnome. Ok, I didn't eat the gnome, he was photo-bombing me. :)

I didn't pack a lunch, so I grabbed a sandwich and small salad from the cafeteria. My sandwich was Swiss cheese and veggies on marble rye, and my salad was spinach, eggs, tomatoes, broccoli, radishes, and onion crisps with ranch dressing.

Since Katie is working overnight tonight, I knew I'd probably spend my evening at home researching cars - and if that were the case, I would need some beer. I stopped by the gas station on my way home from work (yep, they sell alcohol in gas stations in Nebraska because we're classy like that :) ) and picked up these beauties:

I also picked up the fixins for a 'gourmet' dinner for one - mac n cheese and gummy bears!

(I probably had 3 of these handfuls)

I got some research done, but I still feel unprepared. I don't think I'll be able to get rid of my anger towards the fact that buying a car is such a 'game'. It's a pretty big purchase, in my book, and salespeople can just plain lie to you! Isn't that outrageous?! Ugh. One of my biggest fears is being made a fool of, and that's what I think this whole thing is going to feel like.

So, needless to say, I didn't have all that much fun tonight. There wasn't even anything good on TV to distract me! (Which just means I was distracted by bad TV. And apparently snacking.) I kept finding myself in front of the fridge, dipping spoons into jars of peanut butter and tahini, or breaking off little chunks of Romano cheese. Was I craving fat? Or does having to choose between car shopping and a 'Say Yes to the Dress' marathon just send me over the edge?? We may never know...
