No Worries
Why, hello there!
Earlier today I was complaining (via text) to a friend. She replied by telling me simply not to worry about it. (Actually, she said 'hakuna matata', which is hilarious in and of itself, but she has a toddler so it makes sense. Plus, it made me laugh.) ANYWAY, it's good advice! I really do worry too much about too many things and sometimes get worked up over small stuff. It's partly a good trait to have - I do a lot of research for big (and little) decisions, don't jump into things too quickly, and tend to prepare well. However, it leads to lots of stress, some of which is completely unnecessary. It was a nice reminder to just let the small stuff go.
I really did not feel like packing a full breakfast/lunch/snacks for work yesterday. (Someday I'll time myself to see how long this truly takes, but I'm guessing more than 30 minutes.) Instead I just kind of threw some stuff in a bag, planning to fill in where necessary from the cafeteria. However, I ended up with a pretty tasty breakfast!
Yep, that's an almond butter and banana wrap - made at my desk!
It was delicious! The maple flavored almond butter is quite good. I'm not a huge fan of the Flat Out wraps (they taste kind of grainy or mealy, maybe?), but it worked well here! I also had an iced coffee. It was 'iced' because I literally took the leftover coffee hanging out in the pot from Sunday and poured it over a cup of ice...errrr, is that gross?
I purchased my lunch from the cafeteria. I got a tomato soup and a side of broccoli pasta salad. The soup looks really creamy, but it's actually pureed veggies. I could taste some white wine in there, too, which was kind of surprising. And although it is in an Au Bon Pain cup, it's not one of their soups. Our cafeteria sells their soups, but they also make some in-house.
My snacks came from home - a sliced pear and some cheese and crackers.
And an afternoon treat from the office candy stash.
I made myself an egg, cheese, and MorningStar Farms sausage sandwich on an English muffin for dinner. I served it up with a side of strawberries.
And then I headed to yoga with my friends Laura & Anna. It was another great class! The Monday night instructor is the best. I love how my favorite yoga class falls on the night after my long runs - perfect for my tight muscles!
Ok, ladies and gents, here's a little ditty to get stuck in your head...goodnight!
"Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze It means no worries for the rest of your days It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata!"

Pissing the night away, pissing the night away
He drinks a Whiskey drink, he drinks a Vodka drink
He drinks a Lager drink, he drinks a Cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times
Oh Danny Boy, Danny Boy, Danny Boy
I get knocked down but I get up again
You’re never gonna keep me down
