No Scuzzy Teeth Here!

So, if you hadn't already guessed, I went to the dentist yesterday. I don't really mind going to the dentist, but when I moved back to Omaha I hated the idea of having to find a new dentist. So I put it off. Way too long. Last year I made going to the dentist one of my New Year's resolutions. It turns out my good friend Laura's uncle is a very kind dentist that is located near me! And her aunt is the office manager (and a friend of mine!) so I'm no longer intimidated to call and make appointments. I have been keeping up with my 6 month check-ups and was happy to come out of there with a clean bill of health yesterday!

My breakfast was very similar to Monday's. I had a Chobani peach yogurt with Grape Nuts, an apple, and coffee. In fact, I think the photos could be used for one of those 'What is different between these pictures?' games!

I had to run home over lunch to let Stella out (my appointment was right after work), so I decided to just make something to eat while I was there. I grabbed an orange and put together a veggie burger on an English muffin with Swiss cheese, honey mustard, mixed greens, and tomato.

I think Stella enjoyed being outside over the noon hour!

Since I knew I'd be getting home later than usual, I had a pretty large afternoon snack to tide me over - cottage cheese and a granola bar.

Once I got home from the dentist, I immediately changed and left for a quick run. I made a game plan earlier in the day and laid out my running clothes while I was home over lunch. I needed to make getting out of the house as quick as possible, or I knew my run wouldn't happen.

It was a great run! It was sunny and warm, I was able to work through some things that I had on my mind, and I was able to push hard through the end. Sometimes when you are on a tight schedule you just 'get it done!'

Afterwards, Stella took me on a cool-down walk. Well, after I got her unwrapped from my ankle!

I needed a quick dinner because I was piecing it together during commercial breaks of The Biggest Loser (next week is the live finale!). I saw the leftover veggie dogs from my nephew's birthday party in my fridge and knew that was my answer. I had a veggie dog with light mayo and mustard, spinach, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes. On the side I had carrots with hummus and some strawberries.

For dessert, I had two mini cookies from Paradise Bakery. These are really small - just slightly bigger than a quarter, I'd say. One was oatmeal chocolate chip, and the other was chocolate with white chocolate chips.

Knowing I had an 8:00 meeting this morning, I tried to get to bed a little early last night...but I guess I didn't try hard enough! I found myself awake and reading blogs past my regular bedtime! Too many blogs to read, too little time. :) Luckily I woke up with no problems, but I'm not going to risk it 2 nights in a row. Off to bed I go!
