Bachelorette Party!

Yesterday was full of bachelorette party fun! Our friends, Sean & Anna, are getting married in less than 2 weeks, so we gathered together with Anna and a bunch of others to celebrate. We started the day with drinks at the pool.

I was pretty excited about this. I have been dying to go to the pool lately, and yesterday was sunny and HOT - perfect for swimming.

We brought a couple of floaty chairs. Unfortunately, they didn't inflate themselves. :)

But they sure were nice for lounging in the water - they even had cup holders!

We snacked on some nice, cold fruit.

After swimming, we went home, showered/napped/changed, and then met up at one of the girls' houses for a BBQ dinner. I didn't take any pictures, but there was a variety of classic bachelorette party fare - 'interesting' shaped pasta, cookies, straws...you get the idea. ;)

After dinner, we headed out for a night on the town. The first place we hit up was new to me - Havana Garage (located downtown at 10th & Howard). This is a cigar lounge with a very Latin feel. It was warm and (cigar) smokey, but I was surprisingly ok with that - it fit the atmosphere. They also had live music.

The lovely bride-to-be, Anna.

I thought it was appropriate to order a mojito here. It was quite good!

Next, we grabbed drinks at a quieter and cooler bar next door while plans to go dancing were made. Unfortunately, Katie and I did not make it to the club. She had to work early the next morning and I had plans to (you guessed it) meet the running club at 7am. Dancing actually sounded fun to me last night, but I knew I'd regret it in the morning. And since Katie was going home anyway, it made my decision easy.

All in all it was a really fun way to spend a Saturday!

haha yea a night of dancing always sounds fun and is fun in the moment.. then the next morning- major wake up call! .. somehow we’re a weird species that like to inflict pain at our own expense.. cuz we’ll just repeat that cycle all over again :P
