A Food, Fireworks, & Flip Cup Filled Fourth
Hola!
The 4th of July BBQ at my parents' house was great! Look at all of this food.
Deviled Eggs, Coleslaw, Shrimp Cocktail
Pickles, Baked Beans, Chips, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad (and a huge pile of ribs under the foil)
Coconut Sorbet (soooo00 creamy for being vegan!)
Peach Ice Cream (a 4th of July tradition)
I like watching fireworks, but they make me nervous up close. My nephews (and Katie) lit some little stuff in the street, and the rest of us watched.
Then we set up a Flip Cup table in the driveway! (Actually, I call it 'Tippy Cup', but I've heard it called 'Flip Cup' and it worked better for the alliteration in the title of the post.
) The teams were Katie, Laura, and my sister Jenny versus my Mom (!), my brother-in-law Todd, and his friend Pat.
I was the photographer and Eli and my Dad were spectators.
Although my Mom's team started out strong...
...Katie's team ended up with the win!
We rounded out the day with spinning, tricycling, and Wii bowling!
It was a great, fun-filled day. Happy Birthday, America!
