Snow Day!
Yes, I am one of those crazy people that loves snow. Katie was about to murder me last winter because we got SO much snow that everyone was dying for summer, and I was still exclaiming, "But it's so pretty!"
(Christmas Day, last winter)
Last night, I was giddy when it started flurrying. And then I heard we were supposed to get 4-6 inches overnight. Imagine my excitement when I woke up to this Winter Wonderland!
(It looks like more than 6 inches because there was already some snow on the ground/patio furniture.)
Unfortunately, Kate had to leave for work at 5:00am. But she must have known I'd be excited because she left me this note on the dry erase board:
I don't mind shoveling, but this stuff is heavy. Luckily, we recently inherited a snow blower from Katie's aunt when she moved from her house to an apartment. We also inherited these sweet coveralls!
After a little coaching session over the phone with Kate, I was ready to go work my magic with the snow blower. And let me tell you, it was awesome! I even did the driveway out back (which I thought I'd have to shovel since it's not paved) and the parts of the yard that we walk through to get to the garage, (yes, I was that jerk snow blowing their yard.)...as well as a patch of grass for Stella because she is a pansy that hates the snow.
She seeks out sun spots to lay in.
Or parks herself in front of the heat vent in the kitchen.
After everything was cleared, I plopped down in the glittery powder and made my first snow angel of the year.
Not sure what's on the agenda for the rest of the day....maybe some football? Maybe some reading? Maybe a nap?
Happy Sunday, everyone!

I do like the snow as long as I can stay home (helps to work in a school system). Paid someone to shovel our drive & walk today. Am definitely buying a snowblower as soon as they come out next fall. Have to spend the summer perusing Consumer Guide!

No snow lovers over here. I’m ready for spring already. Our neighbor snowblows the street, at least you aren’t doing that!
