A to Z

Just like the accent videos that hit the blog world awhile back, the 'ABCs of Me' surveys are making their rounds. For a fun Friday activity, I am joining in. I hope you learn something new about me!

The ABCs of Me

A. Age: 28 (for one more week!)

B. Bed size: Queen. Which we found out the hard way does not fit up the stairs of an old house. We had to cut our box spring, fold it in half, and then put it back together upstairs. Sounds crazy, but it worked!

C. Chore you dislike: Laundry. And washing dishes by hand.

D. Dogs: Stella (4.5 yr old Rat Terrier) and Barley (9 wk old Boston Terrier/Italian Greyhound mix)

E. Essential start to your day: Teeth Brushing

F. Favorite color: Purple

G. Gold or silver: Both!

H. Height: 5'5"

I. Instruments you play(ed): Piano until high school (I was quite good!), choir in high school, and 1 semester of guitar in college. I'm so grateful that I learned to read music!

J. Job title: Actuarial Analyst. Can I say blogger, too?

K. Kids: We hope to adopt someday! I want 1, Kate wants at least 2.

L. Live: Omaha, Nebraska. (Midtown, represent!)

M. Mom’s name: Eileen. Grandma's name, too.

N. Nicknames: Lizzy, Double Z, Justin Bieber's girlfriend

O. Overnight hospital stays: Nope

P. Pet peeves: Mouth noises (chewing with mouth open, talking with food in mouth, some interviews on the radio, etc)

Q. Quote from a movie: I was RUNNIIIINNNGGGG!! (Forrest Gump)

R. Righty or lefty: Righty

S. Siblings: Older sister Jenny, younger sister Emily, younger brothers Pat and Mike

T. Time you wake up: 8:00 during the week, 9:00-10:00 on the weekends. I stay up past midnight almost every night.

U. Underwear: Yes? I opt for comfort.

V. Vegetables you don’t like: Beets and raw onions

W. What makes you run late: Sleepiness, wanting to do "just one more thing", and, more recently, cleaning up puppy messes/waiting for the puppy to do his business.

X. X-rays you’ve had: Teeth, abdomen (I had a cancerous tumor removed in 2002 so I have to get scanned every couple of years to make sure there is no new growth. So far so good!)

Y. Yummy food you make: The Buffalo Potato Wedges were really good. And my Chinese Dumpling Soup is always a big hit!

Z. Zoo animal favorites: Giraffes
