Back at It?
For the first time this summer, I met my running group for a 7AM run. It was hot. It was muggy. It was buggy. It was glorious.
There's nothing like getting in a good sweat to make you feel alive! I logged 6 miles on my favorite trail.
- mile 1 - 9:22
- mile 2 - 9:11
- mile 3 - 9:33
- mile 4 - 9:14
- mile 5 - 9:22
- mile 6 - 9:15
I could tell it's been awhile since I went for a good, hard run. I came home, ate, showered, and promptly went back to bed for a few hours. It really does feel amazing to wear yourself out like that. That is, as long as you have the time to sleep afterwards.
I've been eyeing a November marathon, but I'm still not ready to commit. I better give it a few weeks to see if I can get back into a regular running routine. Although this break from running was good for me, I definitely miss it!

I love being so zonked that I just fall asleep for hours. The best day to do that is a Sunday I find – I usually clear my afternoons for a long run. Your running trail looks great btw, minus the bugs!

Agreed, Sundays are the best!
