Lessons from a Sunday Morning

The return of early morning long runs leads to the return of early morning ice baths.

Whole Foods is practically deserted at 8:30am on a Sunday. And their AC is very cold. In fact, as you stand in the frozen foods aisle in your sopping wet running clothes with a bag of ice in one hand and a pint of frozen yogurt in the other, you may question what you are doing. But go forth. Once you walk out the doors and are slapped across the face by the oppressive heat and humidity, you will be justified.

Mac n cheese made with yogurt is still the best post-run meal.

It might feel crazy to take a nap at 10:30 when sometimes you aren't even out of bed at that time, but do it. It will feel so good.

And then get up and finish off the mac n cheese.
