Wedding Wednesday – Dads’ Dance

There are some popular wedding activities that we will NOT have at our reception:

  • Dollar Dance
  • Wedding Party Dance (I mean, Mine and Laura can dance together if they want to...but they'll have to share the dance floor with the rest of us!)
  • Bouquet Toss
  • Garter Toss (Having Kate crawl up my dress in front of all of our family and friends is one of the last things I want to happen on our wedding day!)

But there are also plenty that we would like to include:

  • First Dance
  • Toasts!
  • Picture Slideshow
  • Father-Daughter Dance...with a twist

We have been talking about doing our father-daughter dance a little differently. We're thinking of choosing one song, which we will both dance with our fathers to at the same time. Then, halfway through, we will ask our mothers to cut in and we'll finish out the song as 3 couples: me & Kate, my parents, and Kate's parents. I think it's great! I love how we get to dance with our fathers, but our mothers also get to be involved.

Now, we just need to choose a song...any suggestions?
