Halloween Sweet Tooth
We're going to a Halloween party tonight where everyone was asked to bring a snack to share. I almost always, ALWAYS choose salty over sweet, but Halloween treats must have been on my mind, because I chose to make a dessert. And then another. And another.
I better remember to pack my toothbrush.
As many of you know, Pinterest is a dangerous, dangerous thing. I mean, it's amazing, don't get me wrong. But it will suck up your time and fill your mind with grand plans for everything: your wedding, your kitchen, your wardrobe, and apparently your Halloween treats. I kinda feel like Martha over here.
First up, Funfetti Fudge. I pinned this just a few days ago and it has been on my mind every since. My friend Sean is obsessed with Funfetti, so I'm hoping this blows his mind!
Notes: I used the larger, softer rainbow sprinkles on the inside and added rainbow nonpareils to the top just after I poured the mixture into the pan (before it set up.)
Next, I went with Candy Corn Blondies. You don't get much more Halloween than candy corn, am I right?! These have white chocolate in the base and macadamia nuts mixed in. They're dense and chewy, not cakey, which is how I like my brownies/blondies.
Notes: I had to cook them much longer than the recipe called for. Maybe 10-15 minutes more? And I agree that salted macadamia nuts would make a great sweet+salty combo, if you can find them!
And last but not least, I made these adorable Mummy Pops. Cute + Oreos + On A Stick = Real Crowd Pleaser. I'm just smitten over them.
Notes: One 12 oz bag of white chocolate chips covered about 15 Oreos, including the strips on top. I used Double Stuff Oreos (duh) and milk chocolate chips instead of M&Ms for the eyes.
So, thank you, Pinterest, for inspiring me to delve into the world of sweet-treat-goodness. I'm sure my dentist thanks you, too.
(p.s. A macro lens + sprinkles = so fun!!)

Omg I didn’t get any of the candy corn thingys! But I’m still eating some of the leftover funfetti fudge. It’s awesome and it has only fueled my love/obsession for funfetti
