The iPhone 4S

I got a new phone. The iPhone 4S. I am never on top of technology trends. Mainly because I don't like to spend the $$ on things when they first come out...I wait for the next version and then buy the old one on sale. However, it was time to switch networks and join a family plan with Kate, so I was getting a new phone. I originally picked out the iPhone 4, but at the last second I asked the salesman what the differences are between it and the 4S.

• Dual Core Chip - for faster everything (which wouldn't be hard to impress me considering I still had a 1st generation iPhone)
• Best Camera Yet - 8MP plus video, zoom, and flash, none of which were on my old iPhone
• Siri - the slightly creepy "assistant" that can do pretty much anything you ask it

In addition, the lowest priced 4S was 16GB whereas the lowest priced 4 was only 8GB. So for only $100 more, I decided it was worth it to get the latest and greatest iPhone 4S.

I'd say the biggest selling feature for me was the camera. It's awesome. As a blogger, I like to have a camera with me at all times. How convenient is that?! All of these pictures were taken with my phone on Thanksgiving.

Siri is pretty cool, too. I'm still learning, but we've had a little fun messing around with it. I like that it can text for you. And I tried asking some random questions, like "What is Justin Bieber's middle name?", and was quite impressed that it was able to come up with the answers. (It's Drew, by the way.)

So other than being completely terrified that I'm going to drop and break it, I'm really happy with my new phone. But I suppose that's what insurance is for.
